Today we deviate a little bit from affiliate marketing blogging. Did you know that there are other ways to make passive income online? One of these ways, in which we must admit that we are thorough novices, is the stock market. Imagine buying shares and over a number of years their value compounds to dizzying heights.
Today I read about Warren Buffet and stumbled onto this quote “Warren E. Buffett first took control of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., a small textile company, in April of 1965. A share changed hands for around $18 at the time. Forty-eight letters to shareholders later, the same share traded for $134,060, compounding investor capital at just under 21% per year—a multiplier of 7,448 times.”
Now that’s what I call powerful. Sure, you might not have been around in 1965 to buy that share at $18. But what opportunities are you missing out today? Perhaps your neighbor is starting a million dollar company today but you have not learned to recognize opportunities as they stare you in the face. Or you are much too much of a scaredy-cat to take the plunge. Well, so am I. Affiliate marketing money trickles in so slowly and often after putting in so much work, that it would take a brave man or woman to take it and dump it on the stock market. Yet this is one of the most touted passive income avenues.
Anyway, today I got my hands on Berkshire Hathaway Letters to Shareholders. These letters were written by Warren Buffet in a language that a non investor would be able to understand. In an interview, Buffet said that he would always have his sister in mind as he drafted the letters.
